  2. Hi Fitri,
Im in KFC in Bogor ,reading your newspaper article, after returning from the martial arts village of Cimande/West Java.
Great article.Ive been reading about this topic in the newpapers whilst traveling through India and Nepal. It makes me vomit when I think of what men do to women. Its unbelievable how Indian men think. They told me that they watch blue movies and thats how western women act and its ok to rape.

When I return to Katmandu, I will teach female self defense. That is the only way to tackle this problem

  3. Dear Darren,

Thank you for reading my writing. It is a pleasure to receive comments for my publication. Therefore, thank you for making my day.

I have checked senshido.net. I think it is interesting. Singapore has several training center for women safety, including one in the country Women Association. However, what is often missed is telling people not to rape/assault because so far the campaign is mostly telling women not to get rape/assaulted like it was women’s fault. But effort all is appreciated, especially in preventive mechanism. Again, thank you for this.

About Nepal fixer, I have checked her web and I must say she is impressive. I would surely contact her when I am required to conduct field research in Nepal. Not yet in the near future because of time and budget constrain (I’m doing my study as well now), but maybe one day!

Good luck with your travels and keep safe!

    Cheers,
    Fitri
